"Oh, The Thinks You Can Think"
The newest initiative of Rosie’s Broadway Kids, A+ (Arts-Plus) provides not only performance-based training, but also academic training essential for our students’ success in high school and college.
The A+ program provides supplementary tools to enhance the academic performance and prospects for life achievement of our scholarship students at the secondary level. It includes:

- After-school tutoring
- High School admission guidance
- Private coaching and preparation for performing arts school auditions (both high school and collegiate)
- Professional PSAT and SAT preparatory classes
Housing this effort will be our new building, the Maravel Arts Center, which will feature an on-site academic space to be utilized by the kids before and after studio classes. This “study café” will come equipped with desks and computers and will provide students with a safe, effective place to do homework and seek assistance from RBKids staff and volunteers.
With this extra help, students will be more prepared to test out of the often low-performing schools in their district, enabling them to enroll in more challenging and high-achieving high schools in the city.
So far with the extra coaching from the RBKids staff, the last two years have boasted a 100% success rate in the placement of our 8th grade students into competitive performing arts high schools.
Looking to the future, we at RBKids believe that with our rigorous artistic and academic training, 100% of our students will have the skills necessary to gain admittance to and excel at their dream colleges and universities.
